Had a visit to look around  and am impressed with the facilities for this nice little CL

That’s what I said early 1999

Well finally went there in July 1999

The site is beautiful ….if you can get in because it is always fully booked and ALL the occupants know each other and it has a really good friendly feel to the site.  The nearest pub is a short row away by the supplied row boat although bringing your own might be a good idea

there are two toilets and a single shower , both are kept immaculate and are only for the use of the site and a few Private boaters , Shower (tokens are old 50p coins) which costs 50p (disabled access? possibly wheelchair too).  The boatyard no longer hires out craft .The pitches are widely spaced about the grounds of the old boat yard, which is for private vessels only now. Electric hook-ups easily reachable and water is centrally placed the site.

The fishing whilst we were there was very disappointing compared to the rest of the Broads system …….who know better luck next time

A very high standard of CL where the owner's do not live on site but visit their friends who stay there daily. The sites occupants meet each year and tend to book years in advance, so if you get in you are lucky and are treated with friendship and kindness.

The boat yard is quite close to Loddon but has a dinghy free to use for visitors to the CL and it is the quickest way to go shopping (Loddon has a 20 mph limit in the town and speed ramps AND radar) but to go anywhere else is a 30 minute car ride to Beccles and beyond (Lowestoft /Great Yarmouth)
